Modernization of "Chubek's" Irrigation System

The project to modernize "Chubek's" irrigation system, with the aim of improving water efficiency and ensuring the resilience of the agricultural industry, has been successfully implemented and is currently undergoing testing.

The project encompassed not only the construction of an artificial reservoir to enhance irrigation water quality, but also a comprehensive overhaul of the existing irrigation infrastructure. This included the design, construction, and restoration of pump stations in Farkhor and Vose districts, as well as the installation of new pumps, flow meters, and a SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system to automate operations and improve control over water distribution.

With the project's ambitious goals, there are promising prospects for improved water efficiency, increased yields, and enhanced economic benefits for local agricultural producers. Special attention has been given to adaptation to climate change, which involves the development of a sustainable and flexible irrigation system that can withstand extreme weather conditions and variations in water resources.

This project will contribute significantly to the growth of the agricultural industry in the region by providing farmers with necessary resources for steady and productive farming. It is anticipated that the modernization of  Chubek's irrigation system will not only enhance the environmental performance and reduce water wastage, but also foster improvements in the quality of life for the region's residents by boosting production and generating revenue from agriculture.
